Why is my baby crying? Gas relief now.

All babies cry, and some cry a lot; this can be distressing and on occasions frustrating for all concerned. Sometimes it is easy to work out why babies are crying, for example, hunger, dirty nappy, wind or if they are tired, however sometimes there appears to be no apparent reason and nothing seems to soothe them. But an unpublished study from Denmark suggests that some simple reflexology moves on the feet of your baby may help reduce those screaming fits.
There may be times of the day when your baby may seem to cry a lot and can’t be comforted. Early evening is the most common time for this to happen and this can be hard for you as it’s often the time when you’re most tired and least able to cope.
Excessive crying in an otherwise healthy baby is traditionally called colic which is relatively common in the first few months of your baby’s life. However, it is important if your baby is crying for long periods that you see your doctor or health visitor to rule out any health problems such as milk intolerance or allergies.
If your baby suffers from periods of unexplained crying, the evidence now suggests that the sooner a parent or carer responds to a crying baby the sooner it will stop. Picking a baby up and placing it on your shoulder may be enough to comfort your baby but sometimes it’s not.
Are you sure it is not a trapped fart or gas?
I have seen and heard from my many clients the benefits of Birthzang’s Amazing Fart Expulsion Technique for years, helping Mother with a very upset baby who needs to release trapped gas.
These exercises are based on the methods I used with my own baby, and supplemented with techniques applied with the parents I have worked with over the past 5 years to figure out how best to eliminate baby wind.
These exercises really work because they take into account the way the digestive system works, and work with it, rather than relying on medicines to do the job instead.
I have been teaching these exercises to parents, mainly in private classes, and together with their feedback, I have built upon them based on the feedback I have received about what has worked really well for their babies.
The exercises, first and foremost, help to relieve your baby of trapped wind by enabling them to fart, but other wonderful side-effects also include:
stopping your baby crying, immediately
helping them calm down
helping you calm down
creating a relaxing environment for them to wind down before bedtime
enhance bonding between baby and parents
These exercises can be done by anyone caring for the baby which means that no matter your relationship to the baby, you can help them!
During my experience of teaching parents this technique, and guiding them through the process with this blog post, what has become very clear while working with 600 plus moms is that there is just no substitution for actually having someone, in person, showing you what to do. Being able to see it for yourself in 3D as it were, makes it much easier to follow the instructions and apply the technique correctly.
Therefore, to learn these techniques in class instruction sign up of our upcoming Colic class in Januray!
I will be putting together a series of instructional videos and turning it into an online class, with detailed instructions on how to prepare your baby, and how to best apply the technique including 10 distinctive exercises all designed to expel trapped farts.
